Pride and Prejudice is one of the standout stories comes toward the end of the collection. True to the collection’s title, each piece exhibits a strong, clearly defined voice, delivered in a range of forms. The stories we tell ourselves are not formed in a vacuum, but they are also not set in stone; these writers illustrate that stories are meant to be interrogated, and truths are meant to be told.
Editorial View Of Pride and Prejudice
Austen’s finest comedy of manners portrays life in the genteel rural society of the early 1800s, and tells of the initial misunderstandings (and mutual enlightenment) between lively and quick witted Elizabeth Bennet and the haughty Mr. Darcy.
Bennet,” as she entered the room, “we have had a most delightful evening, a most excellent ball. I wish you had been there. Jane was so admired, nothing could be like it. Everybody said how well she looked; and Mr. Bingley thought her quite beautiful, and danced with her twice! Only think of that, my dear; he actually danced with her twice! and she was the only creature in the room that he asked a second time. First of all, he asked Miss Lucas. I was so vexed to see him stand up with her! But, however, he did not admire her at all; indeed, nobody can, you know; and he seemed quite struck with Jane as she was going down the dance. A beautiful novel with unique and majestic story. The beauty of this novel is that it contains numerous short stories that entertain the reader from beginning till the last word of the novel. All the characters of the novel are unique and refreshing.. It’s a unique novel in numerous ways, and yet, of course, its themes are universal. No doubt this novel is a truly original and well informed creation. Its tremendous story make this novel more interesting. n extremely powerful story. This theme, which has implications far beyond the obvious racial parallel, is skillfully handled. Got the chills so many times toward the end of this book. It completely blew my mind. It managed to surpass my high expectations and be nothing at all like I expected.
