The Quarry By Iain Banks is one of the standout stories comes toward the end of the collection. True to the collection’s title, each piece exhibits a strong, clearly defined voice, delivered in a range of forms. The stories we tell ourselves are not formed in a vacuum, but they are also not set in stone; these writers illustrate that stories are meant to be interrogated, and truths are meant to be told.
Editorial View Of The Quarry
Most things, I’ve come to understand, fit into some sort of spectrum. The descriptions of myself fit into a spectrum that stretches from ‘highly gifted’ at one end to ‘nutter’ at the other, both of which I am comfortable with. One comes from understanding and respect, while the other comes from ignorance and fear. Mrs Willoughby explained the thinking behind both terms. Well, she explained the thinking behind the latter term, the offensive, deliberately hurtful term; the thinking behind the former, respectful judgement seemed perfectly clear and valid to me. (She got that wincing expression on her face when I mentioned this, but didn’t say anything. Hol was more direct.)
The Quarry Summary
A beautiful novel with unique and majestic story. The beauty of this novel is that it contains numerous short stories that entertain the reader from beginning till the last word of the novel. All the characters of the novel are unique and refreshing.. It’s a unique novel in numerous ways, and yet, of course, its themes are universal. No doubt this novel is a truly original and well informed creation. Its tremendous story make this novel more interesting. n extremely powerful story. This theme, which has implications far beyond the obvious racial parallel, is skillfully handled. Got the chills soy times toward the end of this book. It completely blew my mind. It managed to surpass my high expectations and be nothing at all like I expected.
